SUMMARY:Honoring Our Trans-cestors
DESCRIPTION:Join local pagan and trans communities as we hold an intimate ritual to honor our Transcestors\, our fallen ones\, the evening before Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR). The staggering number of transgender people who are killed worldwide is heartbreaking\, and in this rite we will light candles for each (known) trans person killed in the United States this year\, remember their names\, and bless the list of worldwide fallen. Attendees will go home with a candle for their altars to remember these mighty dead outside of a single rite. \nDoors open at 6:30pm\nRitual begins at 7pm \nParticipants are encouraged to bring potluck food and drink to break bread with our ancestors and with our living tribe of hearts who remember them. Feel free to bring icons\, images\, and offerings for the altar that will also feature images of trans and gender nonconforming honored trancestors. Donations to the Agora are welcome as well to keep this space open for events. \nIf you have not been to the Agora Anchorage before\, please reach out to lee@passionandsoul.com for directions to this private location.
